Hello! We are the Stainton family, we live at Beck House, a traditional family run, upland livestock farm run by my husband David, myself (Siobhan) and our three children Jen, Beckie and Chris.
Howgills Hideaway lies in a special place nestled on the edge of both the Yorkshire dales and The Lake District making it a great place to explore the outstanding beauty of both National parks.
Relax and recharge in one of our three cosy glamping pods whilst admiring the breathtaking views from your own private decking, make yourself at home in one of our spacious static caravans or try out our beautiful bell tent!

Our lovely onsite shop provides the perfect excuse to treat yourself during your stay, from sweet/savory goodies, wood and marshmallows for a firepit or grab a board game for a fun family night in.
You will also find free range eggs, hand knitted wooly hats and a few locally produced products such as candles and ice creams.

From a breakfast basket delivered to your door, to your room decorated with balloons and banners, we have lots of ways to make your trip unforgettable.

Our site
Located at the base of the howgill fells and surrounded by glorious countryside our site is the perfect 'hideaway'
When designing our site we wanted to ensure that each unit has their own private outdoor space without overlooking one another.
We live in the farmhouse and are always happy to help/provide information, just pop up to the yard!
